Team alignment

Create executive alignment and build high-performing teams with clarity and momentum.

The foundation for sustainable organisational performance

We work with leadership teams at every level, often starting with the Executive Team to create the strongest platform for broader organisational alignment. When an executive team is aligned, strategy gains traction faster, energy is focused on the right priorities, leadership behaviours become more consistent, and change is adopted more effectively across the business.

We believe meaningful team alignment requires more than a one-off workshop — it takes multiple interventions over time to embed lasting change in the way leaders think, work and lead together. If you’re ready to build a leadership team that drives lasting impact, we’d love to show you how.

How we work with you

True alignment isn’t just a single workshop. Instead, we focus on alignment as an ongoing leadership discipline through a 6-12 month program to ensure maximum impact and follow-through for your organisation.

1. Assess the current reality

We start by building a clear picture of where your team is today. Alongside DiSC and LI profiling tools, our key diagnostic is the Team Effectiveness Survey, grounded in Patrick Lencioni’s ‘5 Dysfunctions of a Team’. This measure helps us identify what’s working, where trust and collaboration need strengthening, and what needs to shift for the team to perform at its best. We also assess where the team sits across the five stages of team development — forming, storming, norming, performing and adjoining — so we can focus on the interventions that will build effectiveness fastest.

2. Align around what matters most

With a clear view of your team’s current state, we bring your leaders together in a facilitated workshop. Together, we create a shared direction, define collective commitments and agree on the leadership behaviours that will drive success. Drawing on concepts such as enterprise thinking, trust, vulnerability and psychological safety, we help teams build a clear team agreement they genuinely own and can be held accountable to.

3. Embed lasting change

Real alignment is built over time through practical application, ongoing accountability and continued development. We support teams to embed new ways of working through periodic remeasurement tracking commitments, facilitated discussions grounded in current challenges, and focused support to strengthen decision-making, team cohesion and collective leadership. For Executive Teams especially, this means aligning not just on how they work together, but on how they lead the organisation together.

“Working with Corporate Edge, specifically John, was a great experience for both myself and my team. John’s natural and genuine style allowed the team to feel comfortable in opening up to one another and ultimately forming a genuine village within the team. We leaned into some of the barriers we had and learned some great frameworks to help us embed change within the team. The experience was great, from both the one-on-one coaching to group facilitated sessions. In person and virtually were just as engaging. Highly recommended for a team that is looking to transform.”

Why Corporate Edge

We believe lasting team alignment is built from the combination of meaningful learning, engaging facilitation and a deliberate approach to embedding new behaviours over time.

Signature frameworks

After 25+ years working with some of Australia’s most recognised organisations, we’ve built and refined signature frameworks and models that are practical, proven and designed specifically for the realities of leading in modern, complex environments. Our core frameworks including 1-2 Thinking and Connected Community Culture aren’t just theory. They’ve been tested in boardrooms, leadership teams and frontline cohorts across industries and refined through thousands of hours of facilitation.

Experienced facilitators

Our facilitators are practitioners first. They’ve held senior leadership roles themselves, which means they bring credibility, commercial acumen and genuine empathy into every room. The CE Way of facilitation, built on storytelling, challenging questions and self-reflection, is designed to create the kind of insight that changes how people think, not just what they know.

Behaviour change tools

By seeing through our programs, we build embedding into everything. Your leaders leave with tools they’ll use from day one and a team behind them to ensure the learning translates into sustained behaviour change across your organisation.

How we deliver

Workshops

Multiple facilitated experiences that bring your team together around strategy, culture and shared priorities. Designed to create real alignment, not just conversation.

Who is team alignment designed for?
Team alignment is designed for all leadership teams who are ready to move from good to great. It’s particularly valuable when a team is navigating change, new members have joined, trust and connection need strengthening, or leaders are operating in silos rather than as a unified team driving organisational success.
Yes. Every engagement is designed around your organisation’s unique strategy, culture and leadership priorities. By understanding the context of your organisation, we ensure the team alignment process has the desired impact and outcomes.
Leadership teams shape culture every day. Strengthening alignment creates greater consistency across behaviours, decisions and leadership experiences throughout the organisation.
While team alignment is commonly facilitated to executive and senior leadership teams, it can be tailored for any leadership cohort that would benefit from greater trust, shared direction and stronger ways of working. Every program is designed around the specific needs and context of the organisation and team. Executive alignment has a different strategic profile, a bigger organisational impact, and often signals a different calibre of partner than general team programs. It is typically more closely tied to organisational strategy, leadership culture and enterprise-wide outcomes, while broader team alignment focuses on strengthening collaboration, trust and effectiveness within a defined group.
Programs can include workshops, coaching and embedding resources, depending on your objectives and timeline.
Leadership teams typically experience greater trust, clearer decision-making, stronger collaboration, increased accountability and improved alignment around organisational priorities.
Many teams experience a meaningful shift in connection, clarity and ways of working from the very first workshop. Lasting behaviour change builds over time, which is why we recommend a follow-up session a few months after the initial day to review commitments, measure progress and continue the momentum.
Accountability is built into the program from the start. The program begins with a kick-off workshop where the leadership team completes a Team Effectiveness Survey, creates a team agreement, and learns key leadership and alignment concepts. From there, quarterly half-day workshops help check alignment progress and build a culture of feedback and challenge. Optional follow-up elements can include accountability workshops, webinars, coaching, 360, 360 debriefs with a coach, and a Team Agreement Survey to track whether the team is living up to what it agreed and to surface where further focus is needed.
